Pamplona's got more than sangria and bulls!
Situated in the northern province of Navarre, Pamplona, or Iruña, as it is called in Euskera (Basque) is a fairly small provincial capital with a population of less than 200,000. It sits about 30 miles south of the Pyrenees mountain range and would probably go unnoticed without the San Fermines festival. However, the festival attracts more than 1 million visitors during the Running of the Bulls supplying the town with enough business to last until the next year!
